Difficulty Traits

Difficulty Traits are an optional gameplay system that expands the standard Difficulty Modes with unique starting Trait cards.

At the start of each Standalone Quest (or Chapter if using the Quest Deck system), players should draw the following cards based on their selected Difficulty Mode and place them near the Battlefield:

• Adventurer = Sanctified Elixir + Prayer Of The Chosen
• Champion = Sanctified Elixir + Judicator’s Pendant
• Hero / Legend = Sanctified Elixir

Difficulty Traits provide powerful one-shot effects that may be used at the start of any Hero Phase before resolving Hero Actions. After use, the Trait is discarded.

Additional Loot

All-new loot cards are included which can be added to your Loot Deck as normal.

Updated Cards

All cards included in this pack feature a [V2] icon, representing Version 2 of the Heroes of the Sanctum™ Universe. These updated cards include clarifications and newer Season 2 terminology. If multiple versions of the same card exist, the highest version takes precedence.

The following cards have been updated:

• Dread Knight – Quest Card (Core Set)
• Hexgiver – Quest Card (Core Set)
• Linen Bandage – Loot Card (Core Set)
• Riftwalker – Quest Card (Multiplayer Expansion)
• Horn of Heroes – Loot Card (Epic Expansion)

Existing products remain fully playable without the 2025 Update Pack.
